Conservatism and Liberalism

Preamble:

In the years before Corporatism officially gained political power over all human affairs, Conservatism and Liberalism were the only alternatives you, as a citizen, could commit yourself to. However, choosing one over the other meant that you could not see an alternative point-of-view. Choice at this time, was a sparse offering and an indictment against any notion of freedom.

This lower stage of human development and consciousness, was more susceptible to the manipulations of propaganda and the limitations offered a scarcity of choice - and expectations - as well as social and political commitments. It was a way of limiting the scope of resistance to anything that was coming down the political pipeline. Those in power could not be blind-sided.

=====================================================================================================

Conservatism and Liberalism are not virtues, but vices.

They are at the lower end of the spectrum for human development and consciousness.

Each defines themselves by what the other is not.

Each forms their sense of belonging by an ‘us versus them’ tribal commitment.

There was no love for all humanity, only for those of their tribe, who thought and re-acted like they did.

In that world there is a scarcity of love and compassion.

The same can be said for justice and human rights; they are limited by false allegiances to those who share the same predilections towards their tribes outlook.

There is only one thing they had a common hate of and it was based on a suspicion and loathing of those who did not belong to either tribe; but who were at a higher level of consciousness.

With suspicion and loathing, there can be no Freedom, Humanity, Critique or Protest. Many jump straight to protest, when they are fuelled by the rage of suspicion and loathing for something that threatens or offends them. There will be no place there, for a third way.

You cannot bring about what you don’t have.

You cannot bring justice if you do not live justly.

You cannot bring peace, if peace doesn’t rule over your heart.

You cannot bring compassion if you are not compassionate with your True Self.

You cannot bring love, if you do not love your True Self.

As the mystics would say: Lay down in the fire and if you are a flame, you will not be burnt.
